100 Wardour Street Bar & Lounge Review: Live Music & All-Day Dining in Soho

If there was one word to best describe a D&D group restaurant, it surely has to be “fun”. They’ve all got some element of music injected into them, they all look great inside and the cocktails are always particularly good. They’re also almost always in the best locations, whether that be in the heart of Mayfair, Chelsea or this in case – Soho. In prime place on Wardour Street, 100 Wardour Street is two floors Variante delta es como un “covid con esteroides”, dice experto monociclo winstrol esteroide sexual – wikipedia, la enciclopedia libre packed with just about everything – meaning you don’t have to leave all evening.

There are two areas to 100 Wardour Street and so it’s up to you to pick the right one. Downstairs is the main restaurant, serving up set-menus with live music and upstairs (where we decided to eat) – the bar & lounge area. Expect an all-day menu, fast wi-fi, plenty of space (it’s huge) and on the weekend, it’s home to one of Soho’s best bottomless brunches I’m told. We started our evening with a couple of cocktails, my favourite being the White Tea Negroni, a blend of Caorunn gin, Lillet Rose, lemon verbena syrup and Campari gelatine.

As for the food, it’s surprisingly healthier then you may expect and paired with a few too many cocktails – it was nice to not feel ready for bed after three heavy courses. Refreshing and light was the seared tuna, carrot, ginger dressing, palm hearts & herbs. It didn’t look particularly exciting, but flavour and quality wise it was lovely. Better still was the beef carpaccio with ponzu dressing, radish and cashew nuts. Full of flavour, the beef was soft and the portion size was perfect. I think ponzu dressing might just be one of my most favourite things right now.

If there was one dish 100 Wardour Street do well – it’s a good piece of steak. Our aged ribeye steak was a really beautiful piece of meat which was especially welcomed as it felt like we hadn’t had a good steak in months and I never expected to find it here. Soft, tender and smokey. Even better when smothered with that slice of shallot butter and side of accompanying truffle chips, though the truffle flavour was a little lacking.

Our other main dish of prawn linguini was another plate of food packed with flavour, but the execution of it just wasn’t up to scratch sadly. The dish was very small for the £19 price tag, lacking in moisture and the linguini pasta had the size and texture of noodles – but as I said it was filled with flavour and the prawns were nice. Increase the size, change the pasta and they could be onto a winner.

Desserts were my favourite part of our evening, satisfying every sweet tooth craving we’d arrived with. A sweet but fresh strawberry & rose eton mess was to die for, whilst the chocolate lava cake is worth coming here alone for. Molten at its core, surrounded by a light chocolate sponge and topped with a layering of toasted pecan nuts, cranberries and cocoa nibs.

Another D&D restaurant and yet another lovely time. 100 Wardour Street isn’t perfect by any means, but when service is as good as it was, the cocktails are delicious and atmosphere so infectious – it almost didn’t seem to matter. Particularly when tucking into that succulent ribeye steak and finishing on the molten lava goodness. If you’re looking for fun in Soho – look no further.

D & D’s are always reliable and fun even if the food doesn’t always wow you.
